Sneak Peek – a newborn session caught on camera

I thought I would share a couple of images from the newborn session I had filmed for our mentoring sessions starting in the new year. I thought I would be very nervous in front of the camera and not have enough to say. Surprisingly I felt quite comfortable and found myself chatting away through most of the session……hopefully not too much!! lol

My newborn model was 11 days old and a little more alert than a lot of the newborn I photograph..which is a good thing because the video will show how I soothed him to sleep as well as what I did in terms of posing while he was awake.

A lot my my work focuses on relationships, so I did do a baby with mom, baby with dad and baby with both mom and dad routine for the video as well. Of course every session is going to be different but the relationship poses I share and how I get them in a sequence is a great start. The video will also cover how I set my light(s) and what my setting were, as well as quite a few tips on what to do in certain situations that all newborn photographers will run into.
